Preparing for the Costs

Moving can be pretty costly if you don’t plan it right.  You must remember that there are costs associated with your current location, the new location, the move itself, and be sure to have a little set aside for hidden costs.  Do your research prior to your move with enough time to allow you to find cost effective solutions for each obstacle.

Tax Implications

Because moving can be so costly, it is a good idea to figure out if your moving expenses qualify as tax deductions. If you are moving as a result of a new job, or relocating your office, save each and every receipt. As long as you qualify under the time and distance limitations, you will be able to deduct nearly all your expenses.
